Joy to the world, as young and old sing together at Dartington care home

Residents of Forder Lane House at Brimhay got into the Christmas spirit with an afternoon of carols sung by children from Dartington Primary School.

Around 30 youngsters from the school spent time in the Day Room at the care home, which is managed by South Devon Rural Housing Association.

The room was suitably decorated with a Christmas tree, crackers and Santa stockings as residents and staff got into good voice, joining together to sing a series of favourite seasonal carols familiar to young and old alike.

There was also plenty of yummy festive food available for residents and guests, including of course chocolates and mince pies!

Afterwards Steve Prime, Chief Executive of South Devon Rural, said: “We would like to thank these lovely young people for coming to Forder Lane House and treating us to a seasonal singalong. They bring a breath of fresh air and Christmas joy into the lives of our residents, who really appreciate their visit”.
